Hey! All right I have managed to get started on the blog early this month as the weather is FREEZING and I have not made it out of bed yet, Aimee has just bought me my lunch and I have only posted last months blog now.
So my darling Husband has bought two more bee hives, we now have four. The bees unfortunately started to fight as they where new to the area and not sure where to find pollen. John being the peace keeper thought he would put some sugar water there for them so they would stop fighting. He did go and put the sugar water in front of their hives but the one bee was not happy about that and decided to take his life and sting John on the eye. He has been swallow for two days but is looking better today. Both John and Aimee is suiting up to go out into the freezing cold weather to go and put the supper on the hive. I much prefer my bed to the cold and playing with bees.
We have just had Pesach (Passover). We did a very quiet Family thing and I really enjoyed it as there was no stress and the kids did a skit for the plagues as Sharna read the story. We laughed at the kids as they pretended to be the cattle and died there on the carpet, David played the scene so well Jodie preferred the water that had turned to blood to be moved around the house then scrunch up before we got to tell the story, lol. I know in a few years we will be able to do a better job of Pesach.
Here is my chilli bush with a chilli on. I now have 3 chilli's, I have 6 chilli bushes so we are waiting for them to start getting a lot. I have no clue what to do with them when I have them so it will be fun learning all about chilli`s.
My different types of mint that I have planted, the one is choc mint and I am so hoping that it will grow as everyone would like it to.
Aimee make us a define butternut soup, with yoghurt on the top.
Butternut Soup
2 onions – chopped
little butter
1 diced butternut

1 1/2 stock cube (in 3 cups water)

pinch nutmeg
black pepper
125ml cream/yogurt
Fry the onions until soft. Stir in the flour and curry powder. Add everything except the cream. Simmer for 20 minutes. Liquidise. Add cream just before serving ( Freezes well )
Enjoy with a nice bread
Puri (East Indian Bread)
2 1/2 cups stone ground whole wheat flour

Mix all ingredients well. Roll to 1/8 inch thickness and cut in rounds with 4 inch cutter. Fry in hot oil (350 degrees) until puffed and brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Makes 36.
We now have out own Post Office in Twee Rivieren. It is all very exciting.
Me with the kids on my daily walk to take Mousse to the land to graze for the day.
So it was Aimee`s !3th today and she invited a few people around. She really enjoyed her day and my kids all ate to much sugar so they were all on a sugar buzz for the night and I said good thing we have a break from birthdays for a while so the sugar is no long around.
