Sarah Boo’s Birthday
Sarah 4th Birthday. She had just woken up and we all climbed in to John and My bed and she was given her presents. She got the teddy from Mom and Dad. the girls bought there own presents for her and the little ones gave her socks, underwear and hair bands. Daddy also gave her a necklace and a few odds and ends. As you can see we made Chelsea buns, cupcakes and biscuits for her to wake up to as well. She did not have a party as there is only one other girl her age and they don't do birthdays. But as we have a large family she did get spoilt and I think that she had a good day after all.
I cant believe how fast they grow. It was just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant with Sharna and now I have 6 little Angels and they are all growing up far to quickly for me.
As I told you in our last post, we have had lots of rain over the last few week. Aimee (Our photographer ) took photos of the rainbow that was a few metres away from us, the girls said that they could touch it if it did not run away from them. We get the most exquisite rainbows out here. We get the blessings of seeing a full rainbow every year.
John will be going over to Aussie for 2 weeks in the next few weeks to see his Dad, Mom and Ken. He will get to meet ken’s Family for the first time. He has not seen them in 14 years so it will be quite a reunion for them. John has been trying go get ready for his time away with getting wood cut for us. The problem is that as quick as he cuts we are using it as it has been VERY cold here and we have had to have the fire going all day and night. Then it is checking the fencing for the animals and making sure all the things that need to work, work. As we have found that when ever he goes away, there is always a problem that we need him to solve.
We have got all the documentation together for John and he is all ready for his trip to Aussie. The kids are already crying for him as we told them that he is going away, Sarah just starts to cry for Daddy at the weirdest times of the day.
We have had a beautiful week of sunshine and we are only needing a light jersey at night. it is a bit worrying as we have only had the winter solstice 2 weeks ago, our trees are also starting to get their leaves and are getting ready for spring to come. We are still meant to be in the middle of winter not in spring yet. The upside is that the kids have been having a ball outside in the sun, playing in the water and enjoying the sand and the sound of the birds. I have enjoyed the sun too as I was able to rearrange my house and the little kids now have a carpet with all the toys on the side for them to play, which means that I don’t have them in my hair as I try to cook and do the other things that need my attention.
Sharna friend Hannah is hosting a Fashion Show this Saturday, so the girls are at Hannah’s place doing the practice, Sharna will be modelling a dress for her as well.
The Fashion Show
The Girls all looked beautiful. Hannah and Tess made all the dresses and organized the whole day. I think that it is wonderful that two teenage’s are capable of starting a business all by them selves. Well Done Girls!!!!!
Lets not forget the delicious goodies that where available afterwards.
I was very impressed with David today as he told me the alphabet, and has started to recognise the letters that are in his name. Sarah also wants to start doing schoolwork, I think that it is so sweet the way they sit there and do there stuff. We have just got a super program for the computer that teaches then maths and reading, Its called Funnix and I would recommend it to anyone that has a few kids that are doing maths and reading for the first time. I have such sweet loving children, I am so blessed. David also was playing today and hit his lip on Daniels head, so now he has a very large lip and it looks quite sore. he was a very brave boy and only cried for a bit. Daniel has decided that he does not like nappies anymore so I am quite pleased. Sarah is being so loveable and Jodie has been crawling around all over the place and is starting to walk.
My little Sunshine, my blessing that is starting to walk and is far to sweet for word.
Aimee is growing up so quickly that it is scary, she is starting to want to look nice and is more worried about what she wears. There is a boy, Barris that she fancy's so it is also the make up that goes with it. We do love to tease her, she does get cross with us as she get embarrassed very quickly.
Sarah boo. she is starting to come into her self and it is wonderful to watch her.
Ok so I know that this is VERY scary but I did put it into remind me how old I have got. Hahahahahahahah
Sharna looking Beautiful. She has a boy that she is courting at the moment, Tristan and he is a very lovely young man.
We have just been blessed with a beehive that John and Tristan went and fetched yesterday evening. So now we will be able to start getting honey. We will try and get another hive soon, Yahweh willing, we would like one before spring so that we can catch another hive.
Ok I am busy packing for John and getting all the paper work put together. John is getting excited about seeing his Mom and Dad again. We have been telling the kids that he is leaving soon so that it is not to much of a shock for them when he leaves. He is getting picked up at 4:30am, then a two hour trip to the airport, from PE to JHB and then the long trip to Australia. Cliff and Janet also have to drive for awhile before they get to the airport in the middle of the night. They will all be far to over tired when they get to see each other, but I bet that they will all be wide awake when they do.
HAVE A BLESSED TIME!!!!! Love you Babes and miss you.
