Butter Art

First Sharna and Aimee take turns to milk in the morning and the evening, we are getting only about 3L in the morning and 3L in the evening at the moment as our grazing is low and she has just been covered 3 months ago, we do normally get between 5 – 6L in the morning and 5-6L in the evening.

Second we have to take the cream off of the milk that has been sitting for the past few hours,  they say that you should leave the milk for two days if you want the full amount of cream off of it.  We leave it for a few hours as we prefer milk with a bit of cream in it. We take the thick cram off and put that in the fridge for whipping up on apple cakes are puddings or else we make the most divine home made ice cream, at the moment we have been putting in fudge that a friend has been giving us. My ice cream has been eaten by all and they rave about how delicious it is, I have been told to sell it but time is not on my side at the moment so maybe in a few years I would love to sell.

Then off comes the rest of the cream, we now shack up the cream to make butter. Once butter is made we need to clean and store. This is where Aimee decided to have a bit of fun and make ART BUTTER.
